$43 million will support six projects currently under construction.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) is investing an additional $43 million into the construction of six rural water projects, allowing communities in Montana, South Dakota, New Mexico, and the Jicarilla-Apache Nation to restore and replace critical water infrastructure. This funding follows $733 million previously invested into rural water projects, continuing the implementation of financial allocations authorized through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Interior Secretary Deb Haaland said, “With new resources from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, we are expediting the completion of long-overdue rural water projects and ensuring that more Americans have clean water flowing from their taps through reliable water supplies, because no community should be left behind.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Secretary Deb Haaland as she works with states and tribes regarding water conservation and management.
- For U.S. officials as they seek to alleviate drought conditions in various regions.
